Terms & Conditions for Booking Olde Barn Gardens Holiday Cottage
Once the booking is confirmed the Hirer is responsible for the total cost of the holiday shown on the invoice. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to the start of the holiday. If a booking is made less then 6 weeks before arrival, the full cost of the holiday is due. We do not send reminders – the balance date is detailed on your Booking Acknowledgement.
Cancellation by you.
If you wish to cancel your holiday, you should notify us in writing immediately. In the event of your cancelling, we will endeavour to re-let the property, however you should note that you remain liable for full payment of the amount shown, unless we are able to re-let the property. If we have been able to re-let the property you will credited with the amount we received for re-letting the property MINUS any expenses we have incurred, (minimum £30). Please note your £100 DEPOSIT IS ALSO NON REFUNDABLE.
You should note that in the event of your cancellation it is not always possible to re-let the property. If we are not able to re-let the property you will be liable to pay the cost of the booking in full. We strongly advise you to take out your own independent travel and cancellation insurance.
Alterations by you.
Alternations of a confirmed holiday booking can not usually be made. However, occasionally we may be able change a holiday week. Any amendments will be charged £30 to cover our costs. Any duplicate invoices will be charged £10.
To pay for any damage however caused, excluding reasonable wear and tear.To take good care of the property and leave it in a clean and tidy condition. If the property is left excessively dirty or untidy, a £40 cleaning surcharge will be payable within 7 days of departure and the Owner reserves the right to disqualify the Hirer from making any future booking.
Not to allow the property to be occupied my more than six adults and children. By prior arrangement 2 additional infants (under 2 years old) may be accommodated.There will be a surcharge of £60 per cot per week for parties over our maximum of 6 guests.
Not to cause nuisance or annoyance.
The Owner is allowed reasonable access to the property and its garden at all times and in the case of emergency where the Owner may enter without prior notice.
The person named as the head of the party on the Booking Form will be responsible for all members of the party and will ensure that they are fully aware of an comply with these Booking Conditions.
If the conditions are not complied with, the Owner can refuse right of entry and in this situation, no monies will be refunded. Bookings will not be accepted from person under 18 years of age or from all male or all female parties in excess of two without specific agreement from the Owner.
Bookings are non-transferable and any changes to guest details must be agreed by the Owner in advance.
Whilst every care is taken to ensure complete satisfaction with your holiday accommodation, in the unhappy event of your having cause for compliant, all complaints must be notified to the Owner as soon as possible as we must be given the chance to rectify the situation. You can contact us on 01626 891503. Failure to notify us at the earliest opportunity may hamper our investigations and delays may reduce or extinguish any claim you have. In no circumstances will compensation be made, or correspondence be entered into connections with complaints raised after the property has been vacated. No compliant can be entertained at the end of the holiday or after the Hirer has returned home.
Alteration of prices.
We reserve the right to amend the prices quoted due to error, omission, changes in VAT or seasonal promotions.
Time of letting.
The accommodation is available between 15.00pm and 17.00pm on the arrival day and must be vacated by 10.00am on the departure day. The Hirer must notify the Owner if their arrival time is likely to be later than 17.00pm so that late key collections can be made.
The Property Owner will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the property of the Hirer or any member of his / her party (including vehicles and contents).
This contract is made on the terms of these Booking conditions and is deemed to be made at Olde Barn Gardens, Exeter Road, Dawlish, Devon, EX7 0NZ. This contract will be governed by English Law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Court. If any booking conditions are found to be invalid or unenforceable then the reminder will not be affected.
